The Grand Opening Pickleball Retreat
January 5 - 12, 2026 (8 days/7nights) 24 player max
This retreat will be 2.5 to 3.5 (approximate) skill level. (If sufficient numbers allow, we can do 2.5 to 4)
What is included in this retreat:
- Accommodations in one of our 1, 2, 4 or 6 bedroom private Cabinas
- breakfast and lunch included at our beautiful jungle restaurant (see food page for details)
- 4 dinners included (allow for guests to venture out to enjoy many of our excellent local restaurants)
- special drink pricing for our retreat guests
- 3 Excursions. Nauyaca waterfall tour, Marino Ballena National Park (Whales Tail), Playa Ventanas beach and sea cave afternoon. We can adjust these based on people's preferences.
- All ground transportation to and from San Jose as well as excursions.
- 10 hours of pickleball coaching and drills including video analysis. Guest coaches.
- Unlimited open play on our 4 covered and lighted courts. Ladder play format and tournaments as requested, included.
- End of week team tournament.
- Each Cabina has its own large private deck, kitchenette, shared pool, parking. Click on the accommodations page to see all the options and click on links to Airbnb for details and reviews.
- Organizing of retreat social nights. (We can do a dinner and drinks in Dominical if people are interested, movie night etc.)
- Complete use of property including restaurant, pool, trails, large yoga deck and pickleball courts.
We can organize these things at an additional cost:
- Extra excursions like snorkeling tours, Corcovado National Park, ATV tours, surf lessons, bird watching tours and Whale watching tours etc. View our excursions page for details.
- Extra accommodation nights before or after retreat.
- We can arrange yoga classes at our yoga deck or on-site massages.
- Extra small group or one on one coaching and video analysis.
- We will go out of our way to accommodate any requests.
- Flights, meals and accommodation outside Invictus not included.
Retreat/Camp Cost (USD):
Minimum of 14+ Participants
$1,700 USD per person (based on single occupancy in 1-bedroom Cabina)
$1,500 USD per person (based on double occupancy in 2-bedroom Cabina)
$1,300 USD per person (based on double occupancy in1-bedroom Cabina)
$1,400 USD per person (based on quad occupancy in 4-bedroom Cabina)
$1,575 USD per person (Room in 6-bedroom villa with private pool, minimum 5 guests)
Please note that a 13% VAT will be added to all listed prices.
A 2.5% credit card fee will apply to all credit card payments.
Special pricing for guests not participating in pickleball.
Canadian guests can also pay by Interac e-Transfer in CAD. We'll calculate your total based on the live USD–CAD exchange rate and confirm the final CAD amount before payment.
A $300 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot.
The remaining balance is due 60 days before retreat start date.
In the unlikely event that we don't meet the 14-guest minimum or if the retreat is cancelled due to unforeseen events, your deposit will be fully refunded.
In case of unforeseen circumstances for guests, we may be able to apply your deposit to a future retreat, subject to availability and approval.
I'm Jason Hogue, one of your coaches and retreat organizers. As an avid player and coach, I'm passionate about helping others improve their game while having fun and creating a competitive game play environment.
I am certified through Pickleball Coaching International and love creating an environment where players can grow, compete and enjoy this great sport.
